Jake Christiansen Stadium Turf Replacement

Lowry Engineering, partnered with ICON Architects on the $2.8 million track and turf replacement project for the Jake Christiansen Stadium; Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.

A large part of this project included installation of an 8-lane, 400-meter synthetic athletic track and asphalt base. The completed track was designed with strict pavement grading requirements, and meets  NCAA standards.

Throughout construction, Lowry Engineering assisted with quality control measures, including reviewing material testing reports, compaction verification, and surface slope assessments. These measures ensured the design specifications were met and the final product adhered to both local engineering standards and NCAA requirements.

This project brought life back to “The Jake”, which is home for track and field events for both Concordia College and Oak Grove Lutheran Schools.
