Fargo Village Cooperative Apartments
Construction is almost finished at the Village Cooperative Apartments in Fargo! Lowry Engineering was hired by Real Estate Equities Development, LLC to complete the civil site plan for the Fargo Village Cooperative site. This site is located southeast of the intersection of Veterans Boulevard and Interstate 94, and southwest of the Sanford Medical Center. Design of the site included construction of a new, 3-story building that will provide 52 Active Living Units for the 62+ community, street access, new water and sanitary services, two interconnected stormwater retention ponds, and a community garden.
Engineering services also required coordination on an underground parking lot. This option drastically reduced the land space required for the parking needs for this site but created new challenges for the design team, such as increased build elevation and drainage concerns. These challenges were met head on and the project was completed without delay.
