Planet Fitness - Fargo, ND

Lowry Engineering completed the civil design for the Planet Fitness facility located near the northwest corner of I-29 and 52nd Avenue South in Fargo, North Dakota. The project scope included a 2D site layout, utility services, stormwater management, site grading, and erosion control planning.

The site design features a 60,000-square-foot parking lot with dedicated pedestrian access along the west and north sides of the property to enhance site circulation and safety.

To improve building visibility from the west, a detention pond was strategically placed behind the building, opposite the parking area. This layout required a unique stormwater system that conveys runoff from west to east into the detention pond before routing flows back west for discharge into the City of Fargo’s existing stormwater infrastructure.
