Riverwalk Addition - Hillsboro, ND

Lowry Engineering completed the master plan and civil utility and roadway design for Riverwalk Addition in Hillsboro, ND. The project is located on the north side of Traill County Road 11, south of the Goose river, just west of I-29. The development is 128 acres featuring commercial and residential lots as well as park spaces that promote active and healthy living. Lowry Engineering worked closely with the landowner and City officials to help fulfill the need for additional housing in town. The process was completed over a span of 4 years to ensure everything was well thought out and planned. It started with annexing the land into City limits, then the area was re-platted and rezoned to the proposed lot dimensions and uses and finally design/construction was completed. A unique feature of the development will be the 10’ gravel trail along the river that can be used by the public. The park spaces will include a 10’ concrete trail/bike path, playground equipment, gazebos, and a stormwater retention area that will also double as a fishing pond and be stocked by ND Game & Fish yearly. Construction on Phase 1 of the project covering 36 acres was completed in 2022.
