Nick Kjera, PE

Civil Engineer

Nick Kjera is a licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Floodplain Manager with a strong background in municipal and site development engineering throughout the Midwest. He joined Lowry Engineering in 2025, bringing 6+ years of engineering experience gained while working in Illinois on a diverse range of public and private sector projects.

Nick’s experience includes supporting municipalities and private clients through all phases of project development, including planning, design, permitting, and construction coordination. His technical expertise encompasses roadway and utility improvements, drainage and stormwater management systems, site grading, and floodplain compliance, with a focus on delivering practical, regulatory‑compliant solutions.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing outdoor activities such as horseback riding, hiking, and fishing.

Nick is registered in North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois. He is based out of our Fargo, North Dakota office.
